A Story

Though a book will be written based on this story, this is just a prelude.
Anyways this story is full of Drama...........

The story begins-
The main character in this story is the eldest son of a Journalist n a House wife, since his childhood days he has been very independent n has taken all the decisions of his life, on his own. His parents have always given him full freedom. Maybe thats why at times he is a bit wayward.
As a kid the hero used to care about nothing, his only priorities were to play, enjoy and have fun.

Career Objectives-
He always wanted to be a fighter pilot, and nothing in this world could tempt him to change his mind. Well the dream had an anti-climax ending, when he got specs at the age of 14, but now he wanted to own a fighter plane. At that time some variation of MIG used to cost Rs. 100 million, so now he wanted to be a rich man, so that when he has Rs. 200 million of assets he can buy a fighter plane for half his net worth.

The first crush-
The hero had his first crush when he was in Std. III, well kids at that age didnt even used to think remotely of those things (ofcourse that was way back in 1990, before cable TV came). This is another interesting story as his first crush was the topper in his class n the hero, by mistake was the second topper. One fine day the guy as usual was doing something funny sitting in the last row (He never sat anywhere, other then the last row throughout his school days), n the girl got pissed off n told him 'bastard', the guy didnt knew the meaning of the word, so he went home n saw the dictionary. The next day he went to the school, sat right behind the girl n cut her hair I guess that was to take revenge, thats it, the school authorities called up the guys parents.

Upon seeing the guys parents, the girl realised that the guy was the son of a very good friend of his dad. So the matter ended there n they became good friends, n the moment the crush happened the guy moved to a boyz school n the girls dad got transferred to a different city, so they went their ways. Though the guy met her last year in Delhi, but the childhood crush is gone now.
Well thereafter the guy had crush on every 3rd girl he met, but nothing has materialised till date, poor chap.

Career Objectives-(Contd.)
Anyways back to the original story, the guy had found the way to fullfill his dream of owing a fighter plane, now he wanted to be a cricketer, though he was a decent player n had played for his state team but he never took it seriously, but now it was the way to realise his dream, so now he started bunking school n staying in the ground whole day. Suddenly he realised that he was in Std. X when one fine day his dad asked him- so son what do u think, how much u will get in ur board exam, that day he realised that Std. Xth is the first real test for any student!!!!!!!!

Well our guy without blinking said 80%, but the way he was, no way on earth he would have got 60%, n all the people around him felt that he would flunk for sure. The guys ego was hurt, so he started studying, but what about cricket, he could never give that as it was the way to realize his dream. Somehow he studied for a month n got 81.2%. He was happy that what ever he told he achieved, well his happiness was short lived as he didnt get admission in the top rung junior college. Anyways life went back to normal n it was Cricket time as usual. Well one fine day after it had rained very heavily, his scooter skidded n the guy landed up with a slipped disk , so bed rest for 6 months (which lasted for a year in the end) n the story of a would be 'great' cricketer was cut short.

During his bed rest period, somehow he was convinced that he can become an Engineer, so now it was time for JEE (IIT) but one needs to study something to clear JEE. Well this guy who was hardly able to move for nearly an year, how on earth he could clear JEE, so as a result failure was sure. The best thing about this guy is that when people write him off he does his best.

Some how he got fascinated by Computers n decided to make it his career, n thus he joined BCA (Baap ke Cash pe Ash) at one of India's premium engineering college, BIT Mesra. Suddenly there was a complete transformation in the guy, the person who had never ever seen the first row in his life, was always sitting in the first row n listening to what the teacher was teaching. The transformation was surprising n even today he doesnt know what made him do that! It seems life had taught him some lessons, maybe the reason was his father's bank balance going down from over a crore to a few thousand rupees, well that happens if u lived in the erstwhile 'Lalooland' n go against him.

Anyways his changed behaviour started showing good results n he stood first in the first semesters mid-sem exam n after that he never looked back n was always in the top bracket in his UG, people used to call him a studious guy n he never minded it. His friends of school days werenot able to believe it. Well life was all about books n library.

As our guy was from a boyz school, so he never used to talk to any girl n all the girls in his UG used to think that the guy is very arrogant, well the girl to boy ratio in his UG college was 1 : 1 but still the guy wasnt able to find a gal for himself. The first time he talked to any girl in his UG college was on the last day of his second last trimester, that too 'cas she was in the same coach when they were going home.

In the fifth semester when his friends started preparing for MCA/MBA, the guy got interested in Journalism may be he took inspiration from his dad. There was a big hype about him going for journalism in his UG college. Well he cleared the entrance test of all the institutes but in GD one needs to open his mouth, which he didnt, so he wasn't selected anywhere.

That was a big set back, but he took it in his stride. He joined a call centre but after working there for a few weeks, he decided to head back home with the CAT form in his hand, but this time he never told anyone what he was upto. This time the guy didnt do hard work, but what he did was Smart work. How he filled the forms for various institutes n how he fooled IMS big time(thats another huge story).

Inbetween at some or the other point in his life, the guy wanted to be a Social Reformer, a fighter against injustice, one fighting for the cause of poor, a leader (but not a politician), an MCA n noone knows what all he wanted to be, its upto some idea hitting him n he would think of going for it. But he never wanted to do MBA.

But then he got good percentile in all the MBA entrance tests n got calls from all the institutes that he applied for. Finally he landed up in BIM after leaving a few colleges (FORE, TAPMI, JBIMS) n being sent back by a few (SCMHRD, SIBM). Well his decision to leave JBIMS was way too risky. But I guess he applied a very simple funda 'Higher the risk, higher the return'. I think the risk has paid off, anyways the guy doesnt believe in looking back n regretting, so he would have been happy anyways, n he is...............

One thing that MBA did to him- He bacame mature...........
